Since the demise of Taiwanese channel MAC TV on Intelsat 8 the only thing on the NZ beams has been Arirang. I quite like Arirang myself and I find it a bit better than NHK, the Japanese government English channel. It is in English and has interesting programmes from and generally about South Korea. It’s funded by the South Korean government. Here’s how to tune in, at 166.0 degrees East. It’s also available as an Android app, and you can stream from their website.
I did a blindscan on Intelsat8 tonight and there’s the two channels, that are normally found on Intelsat 5 C-band, and I told the world about them, but its my setup and they’re really on Intelsat 5. My dumb.
